Detailed description: Villa The Maharaj is one of the most busiest private villa in Bali. This villa is  beautifully combined the Balinese style building  with all the modern amenities and facilities, to create an elegant look.

Entering the villa you will find a large free form swimming pool and through a pathway, you will reach the main building of this property. Another building is built just facing the swimming pool from the adjacent side. The main building is L-shape with the kitchen, dining and living area along one line and 2 bedrooms are located at the edge. Two of the bedrooms are built in a two storey building. The Master Bedroom is located poolside, immediately next to the living and dining pavilion, completed with the dressing room that is locatd between the bedroom ad the master bathroom.  An open teak staircase leads from the Living Room up to Bedroom No 2, which is located directly above the Master Bedroom. The bedroom’s balcony is furnished with a pair of cushioned lazy chairs and enjoys wonderful views of the garden, the pool and the wide open skies. Bedroom No 2 follows a similar theme to the Master Bedroom, simply furnished with a queen-size opium bed hung with another stylishly romantic mosquito net.

Stepping stones lead us to the guest house where the other two bedrooms are located. These two bedrooms are sharing the bathroom. The cottage is bordered by a colonial-style timber-floored verandah, its roof supported by coconut wood pillars. This is a lovely spot for relaxing with a book; it overlooks the garden and pool and is furnished with chairs.  Located immediately next to Bedroom No 2 is a small air-conditioned bedroom furnished with a single bed, suitable for a child, a maid or a nanny. This room shares a bathroom with Bedroom No 2.

The open-air Living and Dining Pavilion features a soaring roof lined with split bamboo, cooled by natural breezes and ceiling fans. Two comfortable daybeds and a chunky coffee table are positioned at one end of the room, where there is also a TV, DVD and quality sound system housed within an antique wooden cabinet. With views of the beautiful garden, this is a lovely spot for relaxing; the owners of the villa have thoughtfully provided an ample collection of magazines, books, games, DVDs and music CDs.

The 16-metre, freeform, infinity-edge swimming pool, incorporates a circular children’s pool at one end. At one end of the pool is an elevated ‘bale’ – an open-sided relaxation pavilion housing a massage bed and a massage chair. A hammock is positioned in the garden at one corner of the living and dining pavilion beside the pool, and there is also an outdoor pool shower. The Maharaj is blessed with an enchanting garden.
